Decided back to Aceh for pursuing holy dreams not for the purpose of myself but for the general people of Aceh. Sacrificed my precious things in life such as my future career, peaceful life, loved one. The reality hits me forcibly, still thinking momentum in my life that directs life into this position. Everything is different from time, mental, condition, and ext.
I have tried to apply for Master degree in 3 different universities. All of them rejected me. Also applied for an Indonesian scholarship, also it reject me. I had offered to Indonesian military officer, but I refused due to do not align with my future life with my loved one. This morning she told me that she had a dream that got married to a different person, not me. Suddenly all my efforts to get to her collapsed. Yes, I know it's a dream but it's the worse scenario to me that I have calculated.
My life right now moved slowly. What I can do it to apply for a scholarship and carrier that align with my future career. But, all of my efforts are seems not to work. My friends keep telling me that you wasted your time and time always ticking/never stop. oh, ya last effort is praying because what else I can do ?
Furthermore, let God decide what is best for me. I have to do what seems right and all of them are not worked. Advice for good friend.
I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a challenging time. It seems like you've made significant sacrifices in pursuit of your dreams, but you're facing obstacles and setbacks along the way. It's natural to feel discouraged and uncertain about your future when things don't go as planned.
Here are a few suggestions to consider:
Reflect on your motivations: Take some time to reflect on why you made the decisions you did and why you wanted to pursue your dreams in the first place. Reaffirming your purpose and reminding yourself of the values that drive you can help you regain focus and determination.
Evaluate your options: Although your previous efforts haven't worked out, it doesn't mean you should give up. Take a step back and reassess your options. Are there alternative paths or different approaches you haven't considered yet? Explore other universities, scholarships, or career opportunities that align with your future goals.
Seek guidance and support: Don't hesitate to reach out to mentors, advisors, or people who have experience in your desired field. They may provide valuable insights, advice, or connections that could help you navigate your current situation. Additionally, talking to friends or loved ones who support and understand your aspirations can offer you emotional support during this challenging time.
Be patient and persevere: Remember that success rarely comes overnight. It takes time and persistence to achieve your goals. Stay focused on your dreams and keep working hard, even when faced with setbacks. Trust in your abilities and remain resilient in the face of adversity.
Find alternative sources of fulfillment: While you're working towards your long-term goals, try to find fulfillment and satisfaction in other aspects of your life. Engage in hobbies, develop new skills, or volunteer for causes that resonate with you. Finding joy and purpose in different areas can help you maintain a positive mindset and provide a sense of fulfillment during challenging times.
Maintain a positive mindset: It's natural to feel discouraged when faced with rejection and disappointment. However, try to maintain a positive outlook. Use this period of slow progress as an opportunity for personal growth, self-reflection, and learning. Remember that setbacks are temporary, and each experience can provide valuable lessons for your future endeavors.
Embrace the power of prayer: If prayer brings you solace and comfort, continue to seek guidance and support through your spiritual practices. Prayer can offer you a sense of peace and help you find clarity in difficult times.
Remember, life is full of uncertainties, and sometimes the path we envision for ourselves may take unexpected turns. Stay determined, be open to new opportunities, and trust that your efforts will eventually lead you to where you are meant to be.
